Summer School Safeguarding Procedure
During the 5 week holiday period we are running a programme of Summer School activities.
During this time if you are working with our students and you have any Safeguarding concerns then you must follow the correct procedure to ensure their continued safety.
Fill in the appropriate paper work for the following incidents

We record any intentional racist, sexist, homophobic or offensive intentional verbal abuse aimed at another person
VIOLENCE TO PUPIL –We record violence aimed towards a pupil by another pupil - violence is defined as any physical assault, verbal abuse, threatening gestures, sexual abuse/harassment, being struck by a missile. Please inform parents if this has occurred.
VIOLENCE TO STAFF – We record any violence aimed towards Staff – violence is defined as any physical assault, verbal abuse, threatening gestures, sexual abuse/harassment, being struck by a missile.
INJURY TO PUPIL OR STAFF – this is defined when contact is made to a staff by a pupil (or missile thrown by the pupil). It is up to the individual member of staff involved to establish the level of intent of the assault and the degree of severity. Please inform parents if this has occurred.

RPIs are used to prevent harm to others, self-harm, damage to property, absconding and to stop anything illegal taking place.
All recording sheets will be monitored by the designated member of SLT during the week.
