Hilltop School
Super Hero Day
Sponsored 5K Walk

Picture
On Friday 2nd July, we will be holding a 5k Super hero sponsored walk.
This will involve the whole school coming together to take part in a fund-raising event for our outdoor provision. Students and staff in each class will walk 5k which will take approximately an hour.
We have 19 classes in school meaning that all together we will have walked an incredible 95K.

The day will give staff and students a fantastic opportunity to get out in the fresh air and have fun.
After a very tough year for all our staff, students and their families, we believe it is only fitting that we celebrate the resilience, positivity and strength that our school community has shown by asking staff and students to dress as their favourite superhero for the day.

The current financial climate for schools is very difficult and the money the sponsored walk will hopefully bring in will be hugely helpful this year to help the school fund improvements to outdoor facilities.
Here at Hilltop school we recognise the importance of outdoor learning and the unique opportunities it provides our students. We believe that all children and young people have the right to experience the exceptional nature of being outdoors and that we enable our pupils to use the outside environment as a context for learning and development.

Staff will be taking photos throughout the day that will be shared on our Facebook page.
Everyone who participates will be asked to bring in some sponsor money, even if it’s only £1.
Every small contribution goes a long way to helping us on our journey to create an outside environment that our students can thrive in.

To make paying money in easier, all sponsor money can be paid via a Just Giving page at:
https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/hilltop-school-1?utm_term=XM2bWMBPy

and this is then collected safely and easily by school.
I would be grateful if you could sign the form below and return to school.

Thank you for all your support and we look forward to seeing your child dressed up as their favourite superhero on the day.
